Oral Hygiene for Beginners

A 16 year old girl has just attended our Hygienist Heather. After a new patient examination with our Principal Rita it was decided that due to her very bad oral health regime that she needed a couple of visits with Heather. The girl didn’t brush her teeth every day and as a result her gums were bleeding badly when we tried to do a chart of her gums. Heather seen her for her 1st visit this morning and spent 1/2 an hour doing basic oral hygiene practice, such as proper toothbrushing, cleaning inter dentally ( flossing etc ), and the proper use of mouthwashes. The girl left with an understanding of how she should now go about her twice daily regime.
