Joint Treatment

Dr. Rita Ahmad and Dr. Yas Aljubouri have been carrying out some interesting work together recently. Yas is our Orthodontist ans has been helping Rita with some treatment on a patient who is keen to have the perfect smile but unsure of which road to go down.

Should he go for veneers to close the gaps in his mouth or would Orthodontics be the best option?

Both practitioners have seen the patient seperately and together for appointments and a good treatment plan is still being worked out. Xray and study models and diagnostic wax ups have been constructed and at the next appointment the patient is going to decide on the future of his new smile.

Straight Teeth for our Nurses !

One of our Nurses Stephanie has had ceramic braces fitted on upper and lower – trying to get nice straight teeth for her new romance She has taken the plunge and Yas our Orthodontist has kindly offered to take care of her.

Can’t wait to see the results – her teeth are quite crooked so she should get a good result !

Richa Sinha is the new dentist taking over from Ling Tung, who is leaving the practice to travel the world

Richa starts on Tuesday 7th July and, like John Wright, is registering both NHS and Private patients.

Keep you informed of how busy we are !

At the moment its busy but with the summer holidays about to start here we are expecting to quieten down. We are really busy at the moment with Invisalign Ortho - never knew how popular it was going to be – our Orthodontist Yas is run off his feet !

A Patient who attends our practice every six months for examinations finally bit the bullet today and decided to go ahead with Orthodontic work. She had been anxious about her overcrowding for some time but was nervous about having braces at her age of 36. Her dentist, Jackie, persuaded her to see our Orthodontist Yas Aljubouri just for a chat and consultation to see if anything could be done. She had a full head x-ray taken to evaluate her teeth and jaws and then study model impressions were taken so she could see for herself the results at the start and end of treatment. After a long discussion, herself and Yas decided to go ahead with upper and lower Ceramic braces which she would have on for between 12 and 18 months. An appointment has been made to have the braces bonded on.

Today a patient who came from Edinburgh to see our specialist orthodontist Dr Yas. They were delighted that our practice provided invisible braces called invisalign at an affordable price.
