Many of my clients have asked about hypnosis and if they’ll know what’s happening when they are hypnotised. The simple answer is YES ! Hypnosis is very gentle and permissive. This means that you’ll remain fully aware and alert throughout, if you chose to be relaxed you’ll just feel very calm, relaxed and in control.
Hypnosis is meditation for a purpose, with all the benefits of meditation. Feeling calm, serene and relaxed while also being aware of being in an altered state ( a little like a daydream ) is what most clients report hypnosis feeling like. They also say that they felt completely calm, in control and able to come in and out of the trance as they wished.
Hypnosis and NLP uses the constantly changing state of mind we have normally on a day to day basis, to allow clients to make changes and improvements to the way that they feel and think. You may or may not be aware of making a change. Some people feel immediately different, and some people only notice when something they were doing or not doing that was unhelpful before has changed to their benefit.
